Noted that if you go by bus from HCMC to Da Lat, it will take 8-9 hours to transfer. For the best time saving, you should catch an overnight bus from HCMC to reach Da Lat in the early morning.
If you prefer a relaxing trip, you can spend 2-3 days here to discover this romantic city.
However, if you want your trip covers both mountains and the sea, visit Nha Trang - one of the most 10 beautiful bays in the world.

Once you arrive in Ho Chi Minh city, you can arrange a “war” tour your own by visiting the War Remnants Museum or Independence Palace to get to know more about the Vietnam war.

Since you don’t have much time or simply want to relax after the flight, you can take a walk along the Notre Dame Cathedral or Ho Chi Minh Central Post office to take pictures and go in a coffee shop to try the famous Vietnamese coffee here.
At night, you get packed and hop on an overnight bus to Da Lat
After arriving Da Lat in the early morning, you won’t feel tired with the charming beauty of this “city of flowers”.

You can start your day here with a cable ride to admire the wide view over the verdant city. Next, you should visit Tuyen Lam Lake which has a majestic area of mountains and trees.

Domain de Marie Church is another can’t-miss place in Da Lat which is a church with typical French architecture.
Your trip goes on with Datanla waterfalls and the Valley of Love where you can freely take pictures.

Other recommendations are visiting the Summer Palace of Bao Dai - Vietnam’s last emperor, picking strawberries at a local strawberry garden or visiting the Old Railway station.

At night, you can take a walk along Ho Xuan Huong lake or relax at a coffee shop nearby to feel to the cool air of Da Lat. Otherwise, discover the night market here is a high recommendation.
The fantastic coastline of Nha Trang
From Da Lat, it will take 5 hours to transfer to Nha Trang by bus.
Normally you will arrive in Nha Trang at the end of the morning. Most of the hotels here will check in from 12 noon to 2 pm. After check-in, you will be able to arrange your luggage in the hotel room, then have lunch at the hotel, or you can visit the surrounding streets and dine at the restaurants near the hotel.
Since the first day is quite short, you can go to the nearest places in the city. In about 15 hours of sunshine, we will begin the journey of discovery with the first destination is Nha Trang Ponagar Tower. This place is located on 2/4 Street, Vinh Phuc Ward, Nha Trang City.

You can rent motorcycles from the hotel you stay or any motorbike rental places. The average cost is about VND 100,000-150,000 per motorbike.
This place is also considered as a popular cultural destination in Nha Trang. Like other Cham towers, Ponagar Tower has a top and is divided into three distinct parts.

After visiting the tower, you can visit Hon Chong. This is a large rock with many shapes lying on the beach, creating a very interesting scene.
After having breakfast, you will go to the Phu Quy Port and start your island tour here.
First stop is Hon Mun island where you can dive and snorkel to admire the colorful underwater world

Next, you will visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium at Mieu Island which is an outdoor fish pool. On the way back, you can visit floating fishing villages, fish farms.

Apart from the North and South, the Central part of Vietnam is so rich in cultural and historical sites. With 5 days here, you are sure to get the most of your duration discovering the highlights here including UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
With a Central 5-day trip, the start point would be in Da Nang.
