Hanoi Arrival – Hanoi City Tour
After checking in the hotel, we’ll begin our Hanoi City right after that. Our Hanoi City tour includes some of the most famous sights: Ho Chi Minh Complex, Hanoi Old Quarter, Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple.
Ho Chi Minh Complex is a huge area which includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Stilt’s house, the Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is where the body of Ho Chi Minh – the great father of Vietnamese is kept. Stilt’s house was the place that Ho Chi Minh lived in. Visiting these 2 places, you’ll gain more knowledge of our Great Father work, contribution to the country and even the normal daily life of him. One Pillar Pagoda was built in the 11th century and is an iconic Buddhist temple in Hanoi. With its unique architecture, the pagoda is said to represent a lotus flower growing up out of the water.
Our next destination is the Temple of Literature. It’s known as the first university of Vietnam. In the past, only the royals can enter this area but nowadays, it’s a popular tourist sight of Hanoi.
Then, we’ll go to Hanoi Old Quarter, or also known as the 36 streets and guilds - a cannot miss place when visiting Hanoi. This place is special because it’s located in the city center and is considered the city’s business hub and main tourist attraction.
After that, we’ll have lunch and then continue our tour to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Hoan Kiem is peaceful and quiet. Ngoc Son temple is located in the middle of Hoan Kiem lake. This makes this temple more unique and special than any other temples in the city.
In the late afternoon, we’ll enjoy a cyclo ride around Hanoi Old Quarter, have dinner and enjoy the traditional water puppet show. Have your overnight in Hanoi.
Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi
Once we arrive at Halong City, we’ll board our private cruise for a 4-hour cruising around Halong Bay. Halong Bay is an UNESCO World Heritage. The scenery here in Halong Bay is majestic yet ethereal at the same time. The outstanding value that makes Halong Bay a UNESCO World Heritage Site lies in the drowned limestone karst landforms. Some of the landforms are hollow, creating majestic caves. While on cruise, we’ll stop by and visit some of the limestone caves in the area.
Then it’s time for lunch. You’ll be served by local tasty fresh seafood while cruising. Then, we keep sailing around to enjoy the beauty of Halong Bay and then go back to harbor. Our driver’ll drive you back to your hotel in Hanoi. You’ll spend a free night in Hanoi. You can do explore Hanoi at night on your own or enjoy a relaxing time at hotel.
Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi
Our first visit is the former the capital of Vietnam – Hoa Lu ancient capital. We’ll visit 2 temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le – the 2 heroes of the country and the ones who chose Hoa Lu as the capital of Vietnam back then.
After that, we’ll depart to Tam Coc for lunch. Tam Coc is described as Halong Bay on land. This place is so relaxing and tranquil with breath-taking scenery. Here, you can immerse in the beautiful nature and fresh atmosphere.
Tam Coc means 3 caves. You’ll take a boat trip to these 3 caves and it takes about 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Tam Coc and then we’ll drive back to Hanoi at about 6 p.m. You spend your overnight in Hanoi.

We were scared that 4 days is too short for the trip. However, the agency arranged very well so we could go as much as we can. First time in Vietnam and definitely coming back!
