Located in the Northwest of Vietnam, Sapa town has an average altitude of about 1,500 m – 1,800 m above sea level, 33 km from Lao Cai city and 317 km from Hanoi.
The climate in Sa Pa town is quite pleasant with an average temperature of 15-18 ° C.
Because of its high terrain and near the tropics, Sapa has a humid subtropical climate, temperate, cool air all year round. In the summer, one day in Sapa seems to have 4 seasons. The ethnic groups in Sapa have cultural festivals characterized like “Roong poc” Festival of Giay people or “Sai san” Festival of H’mong groups.

Sapa has many natural beauty such as Silver waterfall about 200m high, Cloud bridge is a historical relic of the ethnic people, Heaven Gate is the highest point to admire the peak of Fansipan, Ta Phin cave or Sa Pa ancient rock in Muong Hoa Valley. Besides, Ham Rong is a famous place where you can contemplate an breathtaking orchid garden with many rare flowers.
