Not bustling and modern, leisure activities here have national identity and spread Vietnam cultural spirit to foreigners. Hoan Kiem place is an opening space that many collective activities take place which are charming to foreigners and tourists.

    Hanoi Opera House

The beautiful Hanoi Opera House was built in 1911 by the then ruling French. This is the phenomenal piece of neo-classical French architecture featuring Gothic themes on the doors and domes with pillars, shuttered windows, balconies and a glass room. With the capacity of 600 audiences, Hanoi Opera House is a perfect place for musicians, actors and dancers delivering powerful operatic and classical performances, which makes it a very popular theatrical attraction.

A superb setting in which to see live show is offered by Hanoi Opera House. The stage is three meters high and there are three floors of seats so a wonderful experience is guaranteed regardless of your seating arrangement.

Located with Hanoi Opera House in French Quarter, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi originally Hotal Metropole is a five-star historic luxury hotel opened in 1901 in the French colonial style. We chose the cyclo tour to see the city because it was rather leisure than walking and the sights were too far to walk. A very good idea for visiting all sights with such a short time. The cyclo drivers were friendly and hard-working. A must you should try when you visit Hanoi.

I've told friends this is an "extreme" sport - not for the faint hearted. You are in this little carriage pushed by a man on a bike but right in the midst of the chaotic traffic of Hanoi. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and were surrounded by a plethora of scooters and other vehicles. We were able to see the workings of daily living up close. A wonderful experience that I highly recommend!
